Do Black Lives Matter? Yes, they do according to God's word. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28 We are all equal in God's sight including male and female. I do have a problem with BLM as a group. There are not peaceful protestors as they say in what they believe. I don't know how many videos I have seen with screaming BLM protestors trying to force their way, their beliefs on everyone else. God designed us and in his original design, there was just one race, Adam and Eve. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. accomplished so much for everyone in his peaceful protest, but they were indeed peaceful. If you read on the BLM site what they believe they also want to get rid of the nuclear family, one man / one woman for life with children common to both. Their plan of a village to raise a child is not God's design and what we see is a direct relationship between the violence and crime and the lack of a nuclear family. The Asians do the best and guess what their crime and violence rates are the lowest. The whites come in second regarding maintaining the nuclear family and they have the second-lowest crime and violence rates. Third, are Hispanics while their family rates are lower than whites but better than Black so is their violence and crime rates, between the rate for whites and blacks. Yes, blacks have the most fatherless homes and also the highest crime and violence rates. They follow each other. You mess with God's plan you destroy the good. They talk about state-sanctioned violence, the violence we are witnessing is at the hands of the BLM group and ANTIFA. Two wrongs never make a right. When they destroy property and kill others in the name of a wrongful death they are simply doing more wrong. Their good intentions do not cover their evil deeds. We don't fix what is wrong in our country by destroying it. Yes, there are some things that need to be fixed. Why do we not try to build on top of the successes of the last hundred years instead of going all the way back to the beginning? There no way a Black president can win an election like Obama did without some white and Hispanic voters. It showed progress above and beyond eliminating slavery and eliminating Jim Crow laws, we also elected a Black President for two terms. The BLM group is set on destroying this government. Black lives do matter but so do blue and brown and white and yellow and red. They all matter to God. 22 % of the people wanting to immigrate in the world today choose our nation. The second most popular destination is Canada at 6%. 2 Million Black Africans have chosen to immigrate here, not sure if that was over a period of twenty or fifty years, more than were brought here as slaves. Everyday black and brown people and others try to slip across our southern border to come here, because it is way better than where they left. Yet we are daily being fed this lie of a racist America. It is not true. We are being fed lies about how evil America is but common sense if you look at the number wanting to immigrate and coming across our borders illegally tell a different story. The BLM talks about the racist police, well there are occasional bad cops but a white officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black man than a black man is to be killed by a white cop. The biggest killer of black lives is abortion. All they want to protest is the occasional Black man killed by a white cop. Almost always they were resisting arrest and non-compliant with an officer's orders preceding a bad incident. But the lie continues to be shouted from the lips of violent (peaceful protestors). Part of the BLM agenda promoting transgender and homosexual issues and had very little to do with Black lives. If you don't believe me read what they are really about on their own page. Believe it or not they also support abortion of Black babies. So why would a Christian support an evil organization? Yes, Black lives matter, but we can better support black lives outside of the BLM organization. Just read what they are about on their own site. Words below from their site. If Black Lives do matter how about protesting over these: Sincere Gaston 2, 4 year old boy, I did not find his name, Xavier Usanga 7, Royta Giles Jr. 8, Secoria Turner 8, Lena Nunez 10, Davun McNeal 11, Amaria Jones 13, Vernardo Jones 14,. This is not a complete list. Where is the group Black Lives Matter when it is innocent Black Children? They only seem to protest when it fits a narrative of a White cop killing a Black man in the performance of his duties. Even though some of these cop killings were unjustified, the victims had a hand in it, they were resisting arrest and fighting the police at the time of their death. But these children did not fight the police, were not doing anything wrong, totally innocent, where are the BLM protests for these children? The only Black Lives that matter to the BLM Group is if it happens to have involved a white cop. For every black man killed by a white cop, there are 18.5 cops killed by a Black man. Do Black lives matter, to the BLM only when it involves a white cop. God bless , LVZ.
Four years ago, what is now knows as the Black Lives Matter movement Global Network began to organize. It started out as a chapter-based, member-led organization whose mission was to build local power and to intervene when violence was inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.
In the years since, we've committed to struggling together and to imagining and creating a world free of anti-blackness, where every Black person has the social, economic, and political power to thrive.
Black Lives Matter began as a call to action in response to state-sanctioned violence and anti-Black racism. Our intention from the very beginning was to connect Black people from all over the world who have a shared desire for justice to act together in their communities. The impetus for that commitment was, and still is,
the rampant and deliberate violence inflicted on us by the state.
Enraged by the death of Trayvon Martin and the subsequent acquittal of his killer, George Zimmerman, and inspired by the 31-day takeover of the Florida State Capitol by POWER U and the Dream Defenders, we took to the streets. A year later, we set out together on the Black Lives Matter Freedom Ride to Ferguson, in search of justice for Mike Brown and all of those who have been torn apart by state-sanctioned violence and anti-Black racism. Forever changed, we returned home and began building the infrastructure for the Black Lives Matter Global Network, which, even in its infancy, has become a political home for many.
Ferguson helped to catalyze a movement to which we’ve all helped give life. Organizers who call this network home have ousted anti-Black politicians, won critical legislation to benefit Black lives, and changed the terms of the debate on Blackness around the world. Through movement and relationship building, we have also helped catalyze other movements and shifted culture with an eye toward the dangerous impacts of anti-Blackness.
These are the results of our collective efforts.
The Black Lives Matter Global Network is as powerful as it is because of our membership, our partners, our supporters, our staff, and you. Our continued commitment to liberation for all Black people means we are continuing the work of our ancestors and fighting for our collective freedom because it is our duty.
Every day, we recommit to
healing ourselves and each other,
and to co-creating alongside comrades, allies, and family a culture where each person feels seen, heard, and supported.
We acknowledge, respect, and celebrate differences and commonalities.
We work vigorously for freedom and justice for Black people and,
by extension, all people.
We intentionally build and nurture a beloved community that is bonded together through
a beautiful struggle that is restorative, not depleting.
We are unapologetically Black in our positioning. In affirming that Black Lives Matter, we need not qualify our position. To love and desire freedom and justice for ourselves is a prerequisite for wanting the same for others.
We see ourselves as part of the global Black family, and we are aware of the different ways we are impacted or privileged as Black people who exist in different parts of the world.
We are guided by the fact that all Black lives matter,
regardless of actual or perceived sexual identity, gender identity, gender expression, economic status, ability, disability, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, immigration status, or location.
We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.
We are self-reflexive and do the work required to
dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.
We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and
environments in which men are centered.
We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.
We make our spaces family-friendly and enable parents to fully participate with their children. We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.
We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).
We cultivate an intergenerational and communal network free from ageism. We believe that all people, regardless of age, show up with the capacity to lead and learn.
We embody and practice justice, liberation,
and peace in our engagements with one another.
I have trouble with the highlighted portions above.
The stats do not support this their narrative.
