Overcoming Evil

21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21. 
So much evil is happening around us. You just have to watch the evil done by BLM to understand it is an evil organization. I know some blacks will not like that last sentence but you are known by what you do, by your fruit. Like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, when he protested he did not do evil to those he was protesting against.  Two different incidents come to mind as I think about people's actions. One girl Ashleigh Brock, a college student at a Christian college, Hardin Simmons University in Abilene Texas. It seems she posted a couple of videos talking about her opinions of things the BLM does that is not right. the first one, she asked some questions about the outrage BLM promotes. When there is a killing of a black man by a white man, there is terrible outrage. When a black man kills a white man, you don't hear about it. These are my words and not her exact words. Or if a black man kills another black man, you really don't hear much about it, only when it is white on black is there an outrage, even though the others happen more often. Even if it was wrong does she not have the right to an opinion. I agree with her. In the aftermath of the wrongful death of George Floyd, there have been 17 more wrongful deaths in retaliation. One of Ashleigh's other videos was making a statement about All Lives Matter.  She said (this is not word for word but from my memory) why should she have to single out each ethnic group by saying Black lives Matter, White Lives Matter, Brown Lives matter, why not just say All Lives Matter.  A BLM supporter saw her videos and did not like them and decided she needed to be made an example of. Ashleigh is no longer a student at that Christian college. The college said her posts were inappropriate for their Christian Standards. I would like to know where they found those Christian Standards. My Bible would tend to agree with Ashleigh. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Colossians 3:11.  How does this group BLM suddenly have the authority to tell everyone how they must think? The other example is the store owners, antique furniture repair business, they drive up to their store and start taking down signs BLM supporters put on their doors and windows.  One BLM banner was covering something they had in their window saying something like "No one ever got shot washing windows".  The BLM supporter objected to those words and had covered it over on the outside of the window with their own banner saying something promoting BLM. They had BLM signs on the door to their business. The store owners took them down as they were entering their business over loud protests by BLM supporters. How does this group BLM get to tell the whole rest of the world how to think? Who made them God? The more I see of BLM, the less I like them and the less I am likely to support their message. Yes, there have been some wrongful deaths, the police have been fired and are awaiting justice in court. But what the BLM is doing is evil and wrong. We do not fix what is wrong in our country by doing more wrong. God help us and God bless, LVZ.
