Happy Birthday USA

1Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Romans 13:1-4
Interesting that my reading of Romans 13 falls on the birthday of the USA. How thankful I am to be here. We have learned in recent days that there is still slavery in the world today. There are still countries that oppress women. We live in a country that was first to outlaw slavery.  We progressed to giving women the right to vote even though many countries today still consider women property. We have the greatest prosperity on planet earth.  Our system of capitalism has pulled more people out of poverty than any other nation. Of the 193 nations in the world, we are the most sought after nation to immigrate to.    If you divide 100% which is everybody that wants to go to a new country, the average would be .5 real close. 200 nations in the world would have made it an even .5.  But we are the most popular place to immigrate to at 22%. The second most sought after destination is Canada coming in at 6%. We should be celebrating the greatness of our accomplishments instead of destroying businesses, statues, team names, and anything else one can somehow find fake fault.  We fought against slavery and won. We then fought against Jim Crow and won. We fought for equality and won, we have had a black president for two terms and even if we disagreed with his policies and the division he brought back we should be celebrating. Instead, we are destroying from the inside the greatest country on earth.  We should be thankful for the Presidents God gave us as the scripture above says the governing authorities that GOD gave us. Those rebelling against authority rebel against what God has instituted. We should be thankful for God giving us Obama and then Trump but instead, we seem to be fighting along political and racial lines that these men God gave us represent. How foolish we may not realize what we lost before it is gone forever. When socialism has control not even those that were for it will be rejoicing. I listen to a bunch of President Reagan jokes and in them were many that he got from the Russian people and it showed their disdain for their government. We want what their people hate. We want what the people of Venezuela hate after approximately only 20 years of existence.  It happened because we allowed the enemy to come in and teach our children and children do not know they are destroying the best government on planet earth.  2 million Africans have chosen this country to immigrate to in the last half-century. The world knows about the death of George Floyd and the many protests of our nation over the years and they still find this the best hope on earth. None of our critics are immigrating elsewhere, They could find nowhere as free to disagree as to where they are right now. How foolish to destroy what God has given us and not improve instead of destroying.  You can find out that black lives matter wants to destroy this country not to help black people. Read their mission statement. How foolish we will look and already look to many outside our country that are yearning to have what we have. Civil authority is instituted by God and we should be thankful especially today.  God bless, LVZ.
