Isaiah 24

Isaiah 24:1- 3
        1See, the Lord is going to lay waste the earth

and devastate it;

he will ruin its face

and scatter its inhabitants—

2it will be the same

for priest as for people,

for the master as for his servant,

for the mistress as for her servant,

for seller as for buyer,

for borrower as for lender,

for debtor as for creditor.

3The earth will be completely laid waste

and totally plundered.

The Lord has spoken this word.

God Is Impartial

As I look at this verse I see God is the same to everyone.
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Matthew 5:45
The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. Psalm 145:9
 Yesterday I thought about Hurricane Dorian as it hovered over the Bahamas.  I saw on the news where people in Florida were praying to spare their cities. I don't know if this was an answer to their prayer or not, but it seems the Bahamas are getting the brunt of this one.  Is this good or bad to pray for sparing our cities?  But when these storms happen they hit everyone, the good and the evil. If I was Trump they would now be saying I called the Bahamas evil. That is not what I am doing. The scripture above lists priests, people, masters, servant, mistress, servant, seller, buyer, borrower, lender, debtor, and creditor.  It sounds like it is hitting everyone on both sides.
Who shows no partiality to princes Nor regards the rich above the poor, For they all are the work of His hands? Job 34:19

We are all made in the image of God and so we must treat others as Image bearers of God. Even sinners that we do not condone their works we must as they say love the sinner and hate the sin. The passage in Isaiah was once again Isaiah talking to God's people Israel and Judah but it also applies to us today. I believe God is telling us to be impartial also.  One of my examples, I have probably used before is protestors against abortion that killed an Abortion doctor. It isn't right. That doctor however evil he may have been in performing abortion was an image-bearer of God and it was just as wrong to kill him. This needs to be settled in the courts and the voting booths of our land. We can stand against wrong but let us not sin in the process. There are so many mobs that form and perhaps the thing they are protesting is legit but when they destroy and burn and beat up on innocent people they are wrong.
