The Lord Has Spoken

“For this the earth shall mourn, and the heavens above be dark; for I have spoken; I have purposed; I have not relented, nor will I turn back.” Jeremiah 4:28
"The anger of the LORD will not turn back Until He has performed and carried out the purposes of His heart; In the last days you will clearly understand it. Jeremiah 23:20
In that day, declares the LORD of hosts, the peg that was fastened in a secure place will give way, and it will be cut down and fall, and the load that was on it will be cut off, for the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 22:25
I have been reading in Isaiah recently. Isaiah is a book of many prophecies. I am not sure I understand a lot of it. But what God says will happen will happen. As these scriptures tell us the Lord has spoken,. When God speaks, we need to listen. When he prophesied destruction against Israel or Babylon or even the City of Tyre, it happens. The Lord has spoken, count on it. I guess that is why it bothers me. Recently I blogged about the fifth commandment and there is a promise with that commandment. God spoke that promise and it will happen. It bothered me when in reading related scriptures and I came across scriptures that tell what happens when we don't obey the commandments, Many times the Lord spoke, he created all of creation, the Lord spoke and here we are many generations later. Honor you Father and your Mother that it may be well with you. We can live under curse or under blessing, but when the Lord spoke, expect it to happen. God does not lie. He is our authority, he rules. When God speaks, people need to listen. Like the commercial used to say, when E.F. Hutton speaks people listen. When God speaks, we need to listen, it will happen. You want things to go well with you in life, honor your parents. The Lord spoke, it will happen. You want to guarantee a curse on your life? Then don't honor you parents, the Lord has spoken and it will come to pass. Count on it. Want life to go well with you. Honor you parents. It is a promise from God and he will keep it. In chapter 22, we see people making preparation to protect their city, but they did not call on God. Their plans are useless if they are contrary to God's will. You will find this over and over again, the Lord has spoken, and what God speaks happens. God is a sovereign God. In a way I think we see this happening in our country with Trump. Many had plans and they did not include God. God was taken out of the democratic platform. They had no room for God. I believe God is showing he is sovereign. I will say this, as long as God wants President Trump to be in office, He will be in office.  They laughed , Trump never, yet Trump suspected they were wire tapping his place and know we know it to be true. I believe God is upset with the United States of America, and he is showing that he is sovereign. I do not believe these scriptures are directly speaking about us today, they simply show that God is sovereign, when he decides something will happen, know that it will happen. It is hard to understand some of these old prophecies.  Here we see the destruction told if Tyre and I believe it is told in another book. Tyre was destroyed just like God said.  you can google Tyre and read about it. The important thing to understand is God is sovereign, and we need to be in his will.  The Lord has spoken and it will come to pass. God bless, LVZ.
