Trusting God

Trusting God even when we don't understand. I think of so many examples in the Word of God where people trusted God. We remember the Walls of Jericho falling in Joshua 6. We remember the Israelites walking through the Red Sea in Exodus 14. I love the story of Joseph in Genesis and a favorite verse is Genesis 50:20.  We have Peter walking on water and so many others.  These things we just don't understand, how did the walls of Jericho come down. How did Peter walk on water, how did the Red Sea separate and allow the Israelites to walk on dry land.  We trust in God, and it is true we do not always understand every last detail. We trust God that on judgment day we will be with the righteous. Yes I believe these stories, I didn't live there, but have seen God's work in my own life to know he is able. Faith is a powerful thing. Believing in a God that we do not see. I have had prayers answered that amaze me today as I think back on them. We continue to pray to and believe in a God the has existed through time. The same God that pulled down the walls of Jericho, that parted the Red Sea, that allowed Peter to walk on water. The God that was with Joseph when he was sold into slavery and brought him to be second in command over all Egypt. Yes I believe in an eternity that I cannot see.  When I turn the key on my car to start it, I do not understand all the details, but it starts. Yes I can look it up and read the electronics and understand it better than I do. I see the plants and how they bring forth so many different colors of flowers from the same dirt. I can plant Okra, Tomatoes, and corn, each different  from the same garden soil, I don't understand how it happens. A cow eats grass and gives milk. I don't understand how it happens. I have worked on airplanes and I am amazed that they fly. Those that know more than me say it is the air going over the top of the wings that give the lift. I don't understand. We pump oil out of the ground and we drive and fly from the fuels created. I don't understand how it all works. I can take a picture of almost anything and see the image on paper that I saw in real life. I don't understand how it happens, but it does. My body has a large amount of water in  it and if I dehydrate, my body doesn't function like it should. I don't understand. My brain thinks and I remember things from 60 years ago, how, does this happen?  There is a creator God that makes it happen and has created everything that is. God parted the Red Sea, cause the walls of Jericho to come tumbling down. Gave the knowledge to be able to fly to the moon and back. Gave the knowledge for what we create but living things that God created reproduce. In fact God created us from the dust of the earth. Much like the different plants that come up from the same soil and all are different. And so are we. No two alike even Identical twins are not totally identical. But we come from the same parents and look different and think different. I don't understand but I trust God. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7  God bless, LVZ.
