The Meditations Of My Heart
14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14
Everyday I try to write something about what I read. Often I repeat this scripture, Lord let the meditations of my heart and the words I write be acceptable in they sight.
7The law of the Lord is perfect,c
reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple;
8the precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
9the fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever;
the rulesd of the Lord are true,
and righteous altogether.
10More to be desired are they than gold,
even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
and drippings of the honeycomb.
11Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19:7-11reviving the soul;
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple;
8the precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes;
9the fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever;
the rulesd of the Lord are true,

10More to be desired are they than gold,

sweeter also than honey
and drippings of the honeycomb.
11Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
I have been going to church most of my life. I still seek to know the law of the Lord. Much of my theology has changed over the years. I believed much of what I was taught and still do. Then there are other things I have changed drastically since those early years, things I had to unlearn. These words stood out to me today as I read them. The law of the Lord, his word, his precepts, his ways are what we find in the Bible. I have said this many times, a christian becomes a christian in an instant, but he doesn't know it all from the start. A christian learns as he lives. Being a christian is a lifestyle. Part of that lifestyle is reading the Word Of God and trying to apply it to our lives as we go through life. There is a great reward in living this lifestyle, at the end of our journey through life, we have a promise of eternal life with God. God's ways are treasures to search out as we walk with him each day. Our eyes are enlightened as we read his word, we learn and keep learning all through life. I love my pastor, I learn so much from him as I listen Sunday after Sunday. This life style has many parts of it, reading for my self, being part of an assembly of believers as the word of God tells us to not forsake. Being a servant like Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. In recent days I have tried to re-memorize Psalm 1 and then Colossians 3:17 stood out to me. This passage above seems to be a good one to meditate on and try to memorize. God bless, LVZ.
