Update

I am not sure how much I will use this site in the future. I have begun to like the wordpress site better as I have used it for a short while now. Feel free to visit me there at lvzpage.wordpress.com. I don't like most of my political posts after a time. I don't mean to be offensive, but it seems just like everyone else I can get wound up on issues. I may still use this site for political rants. But would like to stay away from them. I believe God is the answer for our nation and us as individuals.  I would do better to spend the time in prayer for our nation. God bless LVZ.

My Political Opinion

I believe with all my heart that many people in our land do not understand what is happening in our country. If you want a socialist government move to Russia or other socialist governments around the world. Let us be the Republic we started out as. We were the greatest government this world has ever seen up to now. The socialist have a ruling class that control the masses. I believe there are socialist in our country that want to control us. It is not about Democratic or Republican control any more. We have slowly crept toward socialism over the years. If Hillary or Bernie win, I believe that will signal the end. I believe also it will take God to correct a downhill slide in our country over many years. Our politicians are corrupt. We allow it because we happen to like them and they have convinced us they are for us. Look at the past what we have allowed. There should be separation of powers, never before have we allow the judicial branch to make law. It is a shame and our nation will have to pay a price for all the babies aborted. Don't be deceived, by the posts coming out in favor of supporting Planned Parenthood. We do not need this evil company to support woman's rights. One of the Presidential candidates noted there are 313 different organizations out there other than Planned Parent hood that do not get funding from the government. Planned Parenthood was exposed by these videos for who they really are and everyone should view these videos and should also be outraged that we have allowed full term babies to be aborted and sold for body parts in this nation. It is unbelievable, yet there are those that will try to turn it around and say who is going to support those babies, They try to make it an issue of taxes or woman's rights or something else. Plane and simple it is either right or wrong and that is what needs to be looked at.  Planned Parenthood, the destroying and demonizing of our police force, the division that is being promoted through BLM, the drive to control us through the global warming cause. And last but not least the drive to take away our guns are all a part of the socialist agenda to form a ruling class and take away our rule of people by the people. that is what it is about in my opinion. Presidential Debate

Once again I watched the Presidential debate. We have a lot of good candidates running on the Republican side.  I still have the same opinion about Trump that I have had from the beginning and I think he is very good at saying nothing. What I hated the most was the school yard fighting between candidates, what I liked the most was when they did cooperate with each other and explain their comments and even support one another at times. I still like Carson and he is my number one pick.
I also liked Huckabee, Fiorina, Bush and Rubio. Even Scott Walker did OK. I do think Trump, Kaisch, Cruz and Paul need to quit. Christy did OK.  I am still more for the non political candidates other than Huckabee. Trump to me is very political and says a lot with out saying anything.  I do think most of the squabbles amongst the candidates involved Trump in some way. I had to laugh when Trump said his code name could be humble. That was the biggest laugh all week.  I was less impressed with Cruz than last time. Dr Ben is my first choice, and Huckabee second because of Christian values. Fiorina, Bush, Rubio and Christy did well in my book. I didn't think Bush should run because of a father and brother already having been President, but he did impress me favorably. I am tired of hearing Trump promote himself. Christy seemed to think about the people and commented several times, about the people out there. But it might be political sharpness on his part more than actual concern. Carson and Huckabee both want to fix the tax collection and get rid of the IRS. They both have good ideas. I think everybody agrees we need to secure the borders first and foremost.  That will probably be a sticking point for the democrats. I doubt they want to secure the borders because it works against their control. Climate change, I think those that see it as a way to manipulate the people are accurate. I don't think the Democrats really see it as a way to improve the climate but as a means of controlling the people. For the actual effect we have is not worth the hurt to businesses and our people. I believe climate change is more about control than anything. First is was global cooling, then global warming and they didn't hold up, so climate change works because there is always fluctuation, But even as I think about the good candidates running, we need to pray for our nation that God's will be done.  With all the political corruption in both parties and the mess in Washington, even the good candidates will have a hard time doing much. They do have good ideas. We still need God to move.

This is my opinion, that's all it is. We are in a political election season and there are always polls. So I was polite and answered the questions as well as I could. They got a feel for how I think. I don't have a problem with that. At the end the person said they may call me back in the future for further questions. I am thinking, now they know what questions to ask me to manipulate their poll the way they want it to go. Am I becoming very cynical or am I just realistic.  God bless, LVZ.

Negative or Positive

Perhaps my posts seem negative as I time and again write about respecting authority, about the wrong path our country is taking as we make sin national law. If we don't stand up, the thugs win. If we don't stand up what will be the next sin we make legal. Has racism gotten worse in the past couple of years?  Has disrespect gotten worse since Ferguson? If we just ignore it, it will not get better. We need to think about these issues, and where we go from here. Even though the bad interactions with Police are only .0039% of all contact with citizens, the way it is portrayed in the Media, you'd think it was the opposite. The way to fix it is to respect authority. The Bible is true, it is our guide for living.
The Bible tells us to respect civil authority, we learn this from the fifth commandment, that is the starting point for respect for authority. Romans 13 is clear. Romans 14 is about how we view others that perhaps are not as strong in their faith. Tolerance, it speaks about eating or not eating meats, and keeping holy days but it pertains to a lot more. Tolerance for those who think and believe a little differently. There are things that are essential, as I think about being essential I think of love. It doesn't matter if one person consumes alcohol and another does not because of their beliefs. Tolerance matters and that comes from Love. When we consider others important, and tolerate their differences , it comes from a loving heart. Love is essential. If we drink wine or not, if we worship on Sunday or Saturday or one of the other days of the week are not essential. Love is essential. Did the Ferguson Protest show love? Does the disrespect towards law enforcement show love? Do our discourses come from love or hate?  When we discuss the changes in our country that are taking place, are the words coming from love or hate? I think the way to be positive is to let love flow from our hearts what ever the issue. That is what I want, enough of God's love in my heart that whatever I say or stand for love comes through. God is the only one that fixes hearts. More than anything that is what we need, hearts fixed by God to show love. One example I point to many times is Jesus and the woman caught in the act of adultery. They were looking for an opportunity to accuse Christ. He knew this, he wrote on the ground. Perhaps he knowing each heart, wrote their sin in the dirt. He who is without sins cast the first stone. No one cast a stone, they walked away until no one was left except Jesus and this woman. Jesus didn't condone her sin, but he did not condemn her either. Go and sin no more. Love can do that, stand for truth and not condemn at the same time. Jesus did not say her sin of adultery was OK, he just said don't do it any more. What is so unloving about an actual life lived to God's standards? Yes Christians like me, can go overboard in our words at time.  Being like Christ will go a long way to fixing our country. Love comes from God. Was Martin Luther King Jr's protest based on love or hate? What about Ferguson or Baltimore, was it based on love or hate. What about the Pig roast in Ferguson with the cop hat on and the officers name written on the side of the pig, was it hate based or love based?  We need to be more loving in our actions, and we can be positive. We can take a stand for righteousness and truth, but we need to be loving. We need to be tolerant of others and show a better way. Love can win and heal, hate can win and destroy. God Bless, LVZ.

I am trying to separate Political blogs (this page) and Religious blogs(lvzpage.wordpress.com). Even though I do quote scripture, I consider this to be a political blog.  I am beginning to wonder if it makes any sense to try and separate the two.

Forget Black and White, do what's right

I have decided to make this page my political page. I will use LVZPAGE.wordpress.com for my non-political writings. I don't know how well that will work, because I believe God is concerned and interested in every aspect of our lives. There seems to be so much Black and White thinking happening. It seems our country is more divided along racial lines than it has been in decades. I think for the sake of our countries survival, we need to get away from Black and White thinking and start addressing what is right. Let us look at what is needed to make our country better. The Black lives movement has created mobs and violence against our police. It has been disruptive to Political candidates as they try to take over mikes and spew their political garbage. They have lost any respect I may have had for them in the beginning. They have done hundred times more damage to race relations than whatever they think they have accomplished. Our Police have been under attack since Ferguson.  The police have been treated badly in the media. Our police have to protect themselves. I expect they will approach more traffic stops with guns drawn then ever before.  They will be more on edge then they have been in  a long time. Not just in one part of the country but all across this great nation from coast to coast.  We have seen tragic shooting of officers even here in Mississippi. Before all this mess started, I went to coffee with cops here locally. It was an effort by local police to improve relations with police and the general public. It was the right way to do things. Roasting a Pig with an Officers name on it is not the right way to improve relations. I see and hear about Police paying it forward, buying others lunch or coffee that happen to be behind them in line. that is the right way to do things. I hear of citizens buying snacks and water and taking it to the police station to show officers they are supported. A church I know has prayed over and for the officers in our community. That is whats right. To honor and respect God ordained authority. Read Romans 13. We need to forget this black against white mentality that is creeping up on us. Why would I want Black Lives matter leaders to set the agenda for better police interaction, when they are rude and have a me first attitude.  Let them go against Donald Trump, I think they are evenly matched.  I do not believe that every cop is a good cop. I do not believe that every teacher is a good teacher. I do not believe that every minister is a good minister. Let us promote the good. and not dwell on the negative that is such a small percentage. Some studies have listed the bad at less than 1/2 percent.  Let us focus on what is right. Let us focus on the good that they do. Let us support the 99.5 % that do things right. As for Black Lives Matter Leaders, look to Martin Luther King Jr's example. He did things the right way and made improvements in race relations. He improved things for all in the process. Black Lives Matter people can have a positive influence on our society if they will do things the right way, as did Dr. King. But mobs and fighting our police and destroying private properties and even Black Businesses is plain stupid. Asking for respect and showing disrespect for others including our police will only lead to more trouble.  Lets look at what is right, is it good for our neighbors and community or does it just get your name in the paper. We live in the best country in the world, lets not regress. If Black Lives matter want to fix something for Black people, do something about Black on Black crime. It is way out of proportion compared to any other race. Do what is right, start trying to fix the biggest killer of Blacks, other Blacks. Want to protest something, Protest the senseless killing of a 9 year old Black girl, instead of an armed thug. Want to make relations between Police and the Black community, show respect. It is funny how they say you have to show respect to get respect and then go about disrespecting, police, politicians and any body you think you can get away with it. God bless, LVZ.

Uniting Americans

As I look at what is happening in the U.S. today, I see so much dividing happening. That is the opposite of what we need. I don't understand an American trying to divide our nation to win politically.  Although not everyone agrees with me on who some of our best Presidents have been, they have worked to unite us. I It really is hard to separate the spiritual from the political if you are a Christian. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken."  That is  what we need in this country is to stand together. Those that are working to divide us are working to destroy us. I believe that with my whole heart. Those behind the Black Lives Matter movement and those against our law enforcement officers are dividing our country. The truth is all lives matter to God. We will win as a nation when we pull together. The scripture above is attributed to the wisest man that ever lived. I hope and pray that one of the candidates running to be our President will be for uniting Americans.  Black Lives do matter, but why do these champions of Black  lives go after the biggest killer of Blacks? The powers that be want to divide us. Why are we hearing so much about the less than 1/2 percent of bad police, because it divides us. Paul Harvey stated in one of his pieces that the police even have a better record than the clergy, yet there are those attacking something so necessary for a strong America. Even if you are a Bible hater, the scripture above is true. Another scripture asks, how can a kingdom divided against itself stand. Luke 11:17: " But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth."
Luke 11:17 :  "And if  a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.:" 
We need to pay attention to these words, and make uniting American our biggest political agenda. So many words spoken by both sides are intended to inflame us, to provoke us for a political agenda. It will kill us as a nation if it continues. I see it coming from both sides in this political race. Angering Hispanics, Blacks, Police and many others. It is dividing us and it will destroy us and perhaps that is the ultimate goal. To destroy this great nation and make it something they can control. He who angers you, controls you."I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."  Under God was added in 1954. We really need to think about what we listen to and promote. Ask the question, is this uniting us or dividing us?  God bless, LVZ.

Rethinking

I have not blogged much lately. I have been doing a lot of thinking. I have another site - lvzpage,wordpress.com . I just used this site "blogspot" because it seemed easier to use in some ways.
There are things I like about wordpress too.  I have temporarily moved to wordpress site. I may keep this site for more political rantings. Perhaps, I need to separate the two, my spiritual and my political writings. Sometimes I think that is wrong, because God needs to be active in every part of our life.
