These commandments

there is not a single commandment that I have looked at that I feel I understood. As I take a fresh look at each one, I think, no wonder our world is in so much trouble. We have other Gods, some its money, sports, I can go on and on with a list, but just look at what is most important in your life and you will find it. Idols, same thing, what do you talk about the most. Then when we get to Do not take the Lord's name in vain and we look at the things we say and try to put God on our side, when it may be nothing God has ever said, but its what we want. Whole religions based on this. God has an order to this life, a balance. We need to honor God everyday. Honoring Father and Mother and we see the disrespect for authority skyrocketing. It stems from not keeping this commandment. You shall not murder and we abort babies almost as a form of birth control, but that is not totally it either. The hatred we see displayed in this country from me against you starting with our political parties and race and even against authority which is there to protect us. Look at our country, it is falling apart and look at the commandments we have failed to keep. I believe it is directly related. God help us to wake up before it is too late. We have a country of pleasure seekers, religions based on your pleasure. God just wants you to be happy. Look at the Bible, look at these commandments and see if there is not a direct link between our troubles and our not keeping the commandments.  Perhaps God is speaking, have we determined that we do not need him who created us.  Sometimes a parent gives just a little warning, and we do not heed, then perhaps a raised voice and we do not heed. Does God have to get out the switch to get our attention?  These commandments were for our learning, to guide us. Have we thrown them away?  I am not finished with these commandments.  Some predicting perilous times ahead. We need God, but do we know it? We cannot keep these commandments without him.

1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall not make idols.
3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10. You shall not covet.
